Director Girish AD's romantic comedy, 'Bethlehem Kudumba Unit', starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju, has officially dethroned 'Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra' to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time. 'Bethlehem Kudumba Unit' has been on a phenomenal run since its release, crossing the Rs 300 crore mark on its 24th day in theatres. As of Monday, September 14, the film's worldwide gross stands at an astounding Rs 304.95 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilc.

This figure comfortably surpasses 'Lokah's' lifetime collection of Rs 301.41 crore, cementing its place in history.

The film's success isn't just global; it's also a massive hit within Kerala. 'Bethlehem Kudumba Unit' has earned Rs 131 crore from Kerala alone, making it the highest-grossing Malayalam film in its home state. What's even more impressive is its consistent performance, with daily earnings never dipping below Rs 2.3 crore, indicating strong audience retention.

Comparing its journey to the top, 'Bethlehem Kudumba Unit' achieved the Rs 300 crore milestone in a blistering 24 days, significantly faster than 'Lokah', which took 45 days. The film also boasts a more efficient budget, costing Rs 25 crore compared to 'Lokah's' reported Rs 30 crore, making its box office triumph even more impactful.
