Patil are currently in Cape Town, South Africa, attending the prestigious 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference.

During the conference's opening ceremony, the Karnataka delegation proudly presented a special brochure about their state to Thoko Didiza, the Speaker of South Africa's National Assembly.
