Delhi’s 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder rose to ₹1,740.50—a ₹49 hike—ahead of Budget 2026, impacting eateries and hotels that rely on gas.
The price of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been revised upward by ₹49, taking effect on February 1, 2026, ahead of the Budget 2026 presentation. This is part of the regular monthly revision tied to international market trends and other market conditions.
In Delhi, the new retail price for the 19-kg cylinder is ₹1,740.50, while the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder price remains unchanged. Prices for commercial cylinders are set by marketing companies, with major public-sector firms and import parity price influencing the move.
Previously, on January 1, 2026, the price was ₹1,691.50 for the 19-kg cylinder, about ₹110 higher than December. On the same date last year, the price stood at ₹1,797, underscoring the volatility in gas costs.
For restaurants, hotels, and street food vendors, the hike means higher operating costs, even as domestic LPG costs stay the same.
