Delhi court extends custody of Anmol Bishnoi in a high-profile NIA probe linked to a terror-gangster syndicate led by Lawrence Bishnoi.
A Delhi court on Saturday extended the National Investigation Agency (NIA) custody of deported gangster Anmol Bishnoi for seven more days, with the order to keep him in custody till December 5 in a hearing conducted at the NIA headquarters amid high security. Special Judge Prashant Sharma pronounced the extension as investigators pursue leads in a broad terror-gangster syndicate case that also implicates his brother, jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Anmol Bishnoi, who had been deported from the United States and removed on November 18, 2025, is wanted in several high-profile cases, including the killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique, the firing at Salman Khan’s residence in April 2024, and the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. Absconding since 2022, he is described as the 19th accused in the syndicate—an ongoing probe into cross-border crime and extortion within the terror-gangster network.
Earlier, on November 19, he was sent to 11 days of NIA custody. Since his extradition, authorities have continued to investigate links across borders and efforts to finance or shield criminal activities. The latest extension underscores the agency’s determination to sustain custody while gathering more evidence and pursuing additional arrests in the case.
The proceedings have drawn attention due to the high-profile nature of Moosewala’s killing and the firing incident at Salman Khan’s residence, which have kept the case in the public eye. With security heightened around the case and the NIA continuing its inquiries, the court’s decision reflects ongoing judicial oversight as investigators map the full scope of the network and its activities.
