RSS backs policies, not parties, Bhagwat says at Bengaluru event
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat says the organisation supports policies over parties, with the BJP as the only open route for RSS members, in a policy-first stance.
At the '100 Years of Sangh Journey: New Horizons' event in Bengaluru, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said the organisation does not back any political party, but instead supports policies that align with what he called the 'national interest'. He stressed that doors to politics are largely closed for RSS volunteers, with one exception—the BJP remains the only open door. "We don't have a special affinity towards one party. There is no Sangh party. No party is ours and all parties are ours because they are Indian parties," Bhagwat said. "The doors of all parties, except the BJP, are closed for RSS members."
