A devastating fire in west London has tragically claimed the lives of three men after a blaze engulfed a single-storey pavilion in White City. The incident occurred on New Zealand Way shortly before 7:00 PM BST on Saturday, prompting a massive response from emergency services.
Firefighters, numbering around 100 with 15 fire engines, bravely battled the inferno. They managed to rescue three men from the burning structure. Sadly, despite their efforts, two of the men were pronounced dead at the scene. The third man was rushed to hospital but later succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by Assistant Commissioner Pat Goulbourne of the London Fire Brigade.
The fire caused significant damage, destroying just over half of the pavilion before it was brought under control by 9:25 PM. The Metropolitan Police were called to the scene to assist the London Fire Brigade, and a joint investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the tragic blaze.
