Yogi Adityanath Slams Congress Over EC Row: "Defaming Democracy!"
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath fiercely criticizes Congress for questioning the Election Commission and "weakening democracy." Get the full scoop on this heated political debate!
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing them of attempting to "defame democracy" by questioning the integrity of the Election Commission (EC) and other constitutional institutions. His comments come amid a heated political debate surrounding the EC's recent actions and the opposition's response.
Adityanath highlighted previous instances where, according to him, the opposition, particularly Congress, undermined national interests.
He referenced the questioning of the Balakot airstrike and the "valour of the Indian Army," along with allegations related to "Operation Sindoor," asking, "where is patriotism in this?" He asserted that similar "irresponsible acts" are currently being perpetrated by Congress and its allies.
The Chief Minister defended the Election Commission's actions, noting that three Election Commissioners have publicly clarified their position on the issues at hand. He pointed out that directions were given in advance regarding the electoral roll revision process, and all eligible voters have the liberty to participate.
He also underscored that the Supreme Court has upheld the EC's decisions regarding Form 6, a crucial document for voter registration.
Despite all this, putting Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner in dock, putting every constitutional institution in dock and defaming India in world, trying to weaken world’s largest democracy, this act of Congress is extremely shocking,
Adityanath stated. He concluded by asserting that Congress and other opposition parties are part of "every conspiracy that can cause damage to democracy," deeming their actions to weaken democracy as "extremely surprising."
