RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Sparks Debate in New York City Visit 🗽
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's New York visit includes talks on India's future, meetings with industry leaders, and triggers protests. Dive into the full story!
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's current visit to New York has stirred significant discussion, bringing his message of "Krishna Consciousness" to the Indian diaspora and meeting with prominent community members, even as protests against his presence unfold. Bhagwat's trip is set to culminate in an address to the Indian community at Madison Square Garden.
During a roundtable meeting, Bhagwat engaged with Indian-American industry leaders, including investor Anjali Motwani.
Motwani praised Bhagwat, noting his "unshakable confidence in youth" and his "bias" towards young Indians.
She highlighted that the 75-year-old RSS chief discussed a broad spectrum of topics, from advanced technologies like space and quantum computing to India's overall economic and technological future.
Motwani, sharing her insights on X, described the meeting as offering valuable perspectives on Bhagwat's vision for India.
However, Bhagwat's presence has not been without controversy.
A coalition of 61 US-based Hindu organizations has registered their protest, asserting that "RSS does not represent us." These groups are actively demonstrating against his scheduled appearance at the Universal Oneness Celebrations event in New York on August 29, indicating a divided reception within the Indian-American community.
