Thiruvananthapuram Final Rolls: 25.26 Lakh Voters After SIR
Final electoral roll shows 25.26 lakh voters in Thiruvananthapuram after SIR, with shifts across 14 constituencies and room to update until nominations.
Thiruvananthapuram district now has 25,26,325 voters in the final electoral roll published by the Election Commission of India on Saturday, following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). This number is 3.21 lakh lower than the October 27, 2025 list, which recorded 28,47,907 voters, but higher by 86,083 voters compared to the draft electoral roll published on December 23, 2025, which had 24,40,242 voters. Of the final roll, 13,21,354 are women, 12,04,917 are men and 54 are transgender voters. Thiruvananthapuram has the highest number of transgender voters in the state.
The EC formally published the final rolls after the SIR exercise, which kicked off in Kerala with a house-to-house enumeration phase on November 4, 2025. Among the 14 assembly constituencies in the district, Kovalam has the highest number of voters (1,99,738), while Thiruvananthapuram itself has the lowest (1,57,453). The latest voter population across the 14 constituencies includes: Varkala (1,82,681), Attingal (1,97,231), Chirayinkeezhu (1,94,981), Nedumangad (1,97,007), Vamanapuram (1,87,118), Kazhakuttam (1,62,723), Vattiyurkavu (1,63,063), Thiruvananthapuram (1,57,453), Nemom (1,69,371), Aruvikkara (1,80,182), Parassala (1,93,742), Kattakada (1,75,589), Kovalam (1,99,738) and Neyyattinkara (1,66,246).
Even with the SIR exercise concluded, voters are reminded that they can still add their names to the EC roll, with rules permitting updates until the last day of filing nominations for the elections. Across Kerala, the SIR results show dips in several districts, while a few districts posted increases, with Malappuram among those recording a substantial gain of about 2.02 lakh voters.
