CM Satheesan Shares School Days! How Panangad Shaped His Speeches 🎤

Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan recently took a nostalgic trip back to his alma mater, Panangad High School, for an alumni meeting. He shared heartwarming anecdotes about how his time there profoundly shaped his communication skills, a foundation that eventually led him to deliver speeches even at prestigious institutions like Harvard University.

Addressing the gathering, CM Satheesan expressed that it was within the walls of Panangad High School that he truly "learned to speak." He emphasized the strong foundation in English grammar he received at the Malayalam-medium school. This rigorous training gave him the confidence to articulate his thoughts in English, despite initial feelings of inferiority.

He recounted joining SH College after high school and feeling intimidated by other students who seemed to speak English fluently.

However, upon closer listening, he realized many were making grammatical errors, contrasting with the thorough grounding in grammar he had received from his teachers at Panangad. This realization boosted his self-assurance and empowered him to speak confidently.

"Standing here today, I'm at a loss for words," Satheesan reportedly said, highlighting his deep gratitude.

He credited his teachers for encouraging him to read and learn, fostering a love for knowledge that stayed with him.

The event was inaugurated by Kerala High Court judge Devan Ramachandran and saw the attendance of several other prominent figures, including Ministers N.

Samsudheen, Roji M. John, V.E Abdul Gafoor, Hibi Eden, MP, and Deputy Speaker Shanimol Osman, making it a significant reunion.
