In a high-altitude operation in Kishtwar, security forces uncovered a Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad hideout stocked for months, including Maggi packets, 20kg rice and gas cylinders. The raid left one Indian commando dead and several others injured.
The bunker is located at around 12,000 feet above sea level in the rugged mountains, described by officials as a fortified Kargil-style shelter.
Security personnel have cordoned off the area and are conducting searches to ensure there are no additional threats in the vicinity.
