Harp, previously known as Trump's "human printer" due to her constant proximity with documents, was one of only three aides chosen to accompany Trump during a sensitive clandestine transfer. This incident occurred during his return from a NATO summit in Turkey, when a potential Iranian missile threat prompted a secret move from the larger Air Force One Boeing 747 to a smaller plane. Harp, along with Walt Nauta and Dan Scavino, transferred in an airline catering truck to make the flight from Ankara to RAF Mildenhall.
According to Haberman, Trump selected Harp for this crucial, secret transfer because she acts as his "comfort blanket" or "Binkie." Her consistent presence and seemingly calming effect on the 80-year-old chief executive are noted as key reasons for her inclusion in such a sensitive operation. The other two aides, Walt Nauta and Dan Scavino, were chosen for their long-standing tenure and sensitive roles. Scavino's employment dates back decades, originating from his days as a teenage golf caddy at one of Trump's golf clubs. Nauta, whose official title is director of Oval Office Operations, served as Trump's military valet during his first term and followed him into political exile after the 2020 election. Nauta later became a co-defendant in the case concerning allegedly illegally retained classified documents at Trump's Florida home.
