Interpol Red Corner Notice for Sambhal Violence Mastermind Shariq Sata!
Fugitive Shariq Sata, accused mastermind of the 2024 Sambhal violence, now faces an Interpol Red Corner Notice! Will justice finally be served?
Global authorities have intensified their hunt for Shariq Sata, the alleged mastermind behind the violent clashes that rocked Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, on November 24, 2024. Interpol has officially issued a Red Corner Notice against the fugitive gangster, signaling a major development in the pursuit of justice.
The violence erupted during a court-ordered survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid, following contentious claims that a Harihar temple previously stood on the site. The unrest tragically claimed four lives and left dozens injured, plunging the city into turmoil. Investigations swiftly pointed to Sata as the prime conspirator in the incident.
Superintendent of Police of Sambhal, Krishna Kumar Bishnoi, confirmed the development, noting that Sata was previously declared a fugitive offender by a court, with proceedings already underway for the attachment of his property. Authorities revealed that Sata had fled the country years ago, using a forged passport to escape to Dubai. His family members have also been noted for frequent travels to the emirate.
The Uttar Pradesh Police, after rigorous surveillance and compiling a detailed dossier, had formally requested the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to facilitate the Interpol notice. The CBI then coordinated with Interpol, leading to the crucial Red Corner Notice being issued. This international alert means that law enforcement agencies worldwide are now mandated to locate and provisionally arrest Sata, pending extradition.
Bishnoi emphasized that efforts would now be redoubled to arrest and extradite Sata from wherever he is found. This move aims to ensure he faces legal consequences not only for the brutal November 24 incident but also for the 55 to 60 other criminal cases previously registered against him. A lookout circular was already in place against Sata, and a notice under section 84 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita had been pasted at his residence, highlighting the long-standing efforts to apprehend him.
