French Boy from Tate Balcony Smiles Again, Back at School!

In a truly uplifting development, the French boy who was tragically thrown from the viewing balcony of London's Tate Modern art gallery in 2019 has reportedly been discharged from hospital and is back at school, bringing a "smile back on his face."
The youngster, whose name is withheld for privacy, was just six years old when he sustained life-changing injuries, including a bleed on the brain and multiple broken bones, after being pushed from a 30-metre (100ft) height by then-teenager Jonty Bravery. His family affectionately refers to him as "notre petit chevalier" (our little knight), a testament to his incredible strength throughout his recovery journey.
An update shared by his family on a GoFundMe page, which was set up to support his recovery, revealed the joyous news. "His hospital stay was kept as short as possible because, despite our daily presence and encouragement, our son was becoming deeply disheartened and kept asking when he could go back to class and see his friends," they shared.
His brief return to school before the summer holidays was a moment of immense happiness. The lessons were specially tailored to his needs and challenges, allowing him to re-engage with learning and, crucially, to reunite with his teachers and classmates, which truly helped put a smile back on his face. This positive milestone comes after a previous update in April of this year indicated a "sad step backwards" in his recovery, making this latest news all the more heartening.
