Sasikala, a former interim leader who recently floated her own party, described the DMK as an 'evil force' and criticized what she called betrayers within AIADMK who align with the DMK at the expense of Puratchi Thalaivar M.G. Ramachandran's and Jayalalithaa's legacies. Sasikala vowed to mobilize support to defeat such betrayers at the hustings and urged the party’s base to stay united in opposition.
The political ripples also touched the AIADMK leadership's messaging to minority communities. Edappadi K. Palaniswami, a key AIADMK figure, urged minorities to consider the welfare programs the party has implemented, framing AIADMK as a vehicle for broad-based social benefits while continuing to challenge DMK's coalition politics.
