Strictly Star Craig Revel Horwood Stabbed & Strip-Searched on Holiday!

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has shared a truly harrowing experience from a past holiday, revealing he was stabbed, robbed, and later subjected to a strip search. The 61-year-old dancer recounted the terrifying ordeal on the 'Judgemental' podcast, which he co-hosts with fellow Strictly judge Anton Du Beke.

The shocking incident unfolded during a trip to Madrid. Revel Horwood described being out late, around 2 AM, after enjoying dinner, a typical late-night outing in Spain. He explained, "I went on holiday in Madrid and got stabbed, that was nice, and it was stinking hot." He revealed he was slashed in the stomach with a razor blade, an attack that also saw his jewellery stolen. "My jewellery was stolen as well, they ripped my necklace off my neck and gave me a big burn mark," he added, illustrating the severity of the assault.

The ordeal didn't end there. After the traumatic stabbing, as he was attempting to leave the country, Revel Horwood faced another distressing situation. "And then when I got back, I got strip-searched," he disclosed. The search, conducted by French authorities, was reportedly for drugs. He remembered his appearance at the time, still recovering from the attack: "I hadn’t shaved, so I did look a bit of a wreck, I’d been stabbed, I had burn marks all around my neck from where I was, like, attacked." He concluded, detailing the intrusive search, "And then the French strip searched me down to literally nothing…. they were looking for drugs."

This candid revelation sheds light on the unforeseen dangers that can sometimes mar even a celebrity's holiday, underscoring a truly unforgettable and distressing travel experience for the usually sharp-tongued Strictly judge.
