Popular actor Rashmika Mandanna recently shared unfortunate news with her fans, revealing she sustained an injury while filming a dance sequence for her upcoming Telugu action thriller, 'Mysaa'. Mandanna took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to detail the incident, describing 'Mysaa' as the “most aggressive” film she has ever undertaken.
This marks the third injury in quick succession for the busy star, prompting her to reflect on her rigorous schedule. “Injuries suck and I was really hoping that no one will get to know but well,” she posted, adding, “I should definitely learn to treat my body like a human body and not some machine.” The actress had been out of the public eye for a while, attributing her absence to the recovery period.
Elaborating on the nature of her injury, Mandanna explained, “So there are 4 tendons on each side of your hip that connects your hip to your leg and one of those tendons on my right hip apparently had detached and that has to attach again, for me to be able to lift my leg up and stuff. But don’t worry. It hurts but it’s not unbearable or something.” Despite the pain, she assured fans that she is managing.
The injury has put a temporary halt to her usual intense fitness routine. Known for her dedication to working out and running “like a beast,” Mandanna expressed concern about not being able to maintain her physique. “Really trying not to put on weight. I workout and run like a beast which keeps me in a decent shape and now I won’t be able to workout or run for awhile,” she noted. To pass the time during her recovery, she has been engrossed in solving puzzles.
'Mysaa' is directed by Rawindra Pulle and produced by Ajay and Anil Bayyapureddy. While Mandanna recovers, fans eagerly await updates on the film and her return to full health. Her last appearance was in the romantic-comedy 'Cocktail 2', alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, which premiered on June 19.
