Kyiv rocked: Russian strike hits drone show, 10 dead, 100 injured!

Tragedy struck near Ukraine's capital Kyiv on Friday as a Russian missile attack targeted a drone exhibition, leaving 10 people dead and approximately 100 injured. The devastating strike hit an arms show, attended by prominent figures from the Ukrainian defense industry, using ballistic missiles in the middle of the day.

The attack unfolded just hours after Ukraine carried out its own strikes on a factory in Kirov and warehouses in north-west Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that "one of the most important military facilities" in Kirov, crucial for supplying components for aircraft and missile equipment used against Ukraine, had been hit. Additionally, two Wildberries facilities in the St. Petersburg area were hit, part of Kyiv's strategy to target logistics hubs that could be used for military equipment supplies.

The recent escalation highlights the ongoing brutal conflict. Ukrainian officials have indicated that they are now targeting Russian logistics hubs, such as those run by Wildberries, to disrupt supplies to the Russian army, following months of drone attacks on oil depots and refineries.

Meanwhile, President Zelenskyy is expected to travel to the United States next week for crucial meetings. A White House official confirmed he is slated to meet President Donald Trump on Tuesday, as Washington continues efforts to revive peace talks between Ukraine and Russia. An interview conducted by Trump ally Laura Loomer, who is in Kyiv, quoted Zelenskyy expressing an intent to attend the funeral of US Senator Lindsey Graham on the same day as his planned meeting with Trump, adding a layer of complexity to the diplomatic agenda.
