Delhi is reeling from a horrific incident that has shocked the national capital region, as an 11-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped, raped, and murdered. The tragic ordeal began early on Monday morning when the young victim, who lived with her family on a footpath in South Delhi's Mehrauli area, was abducted by a perpetrator while she was asleep around 5 am.
The alarm was raised when Delhi Police received a Police Control Room (PCR) call reporting the kidnapping. Police teams were immediately dispatched, launching an extensive investigation into the matter. Investigators deployed forensic teams to examine the scene and initiated a wide search operation. To track the victim's movements and identify the suspect, police meticulously analyzed footage from numerous closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras across Mehrauli and along routes leading towards Haryana.
During the course of this rigorous investigation, the victim's body was tragically recovered from a forested area located near the Delhi-Gurugram border. Following this grim discovery, the body was sent for a post-mortem examination. Police sources revealed that the accused was spotted returning to the crime scene but fled upon seeing police teams nearby.

The accused, identified as 25-year-old Bablu, who drives an app-based cab, was taken into custody late on Monday night.
