Mandya Residents Urged to Join Census 2027 Self-Enumeration
Mandya district asks residents to complete self-enumeration for Census 2027 via a secure portal, ahead of Phase 1 with 33 questions and a reference ID system.
Mandya district is urging residents to participate in Census 2027 through self-enumeration using a secure online portal. The first phase will begin with house listing and housing census operations set to start on April 16, while a 15-day window from April 1 to April 15 has been opened for self-enumeration. Citizens can log in to the official portal and answer 33 questions related to household listing and housing census, with a reference ID sent via SMS and email upon successful submission. When enumerators visit households, the reference ID will help complete the census process quickly. If the reference ID is not furnished, enumerators will have to collect all details again by asking the questions anew. Participating in self-enumeration is expected to save time and reduce on-site visits. The census portal also hosts a list of FAQs to make answering questions easier, and the digital census will involve data collection by enumerators through mobile applications. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kumar emphasized that encouraging participation in large numbers would contribute to a more efficient and accurate census process.
