Tamil Nadu to declare Class 12 results on May 8 at 9:30 AM, with a new WhatsApp option to view results by messaging 7845252525.
Tamil Nadu Class 12 results will be declared on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., as announced by the School Education Secretary on Thursday, May 7, 2026. A total of 8,16,289 students had written the Class 12 exams, which began on March 2 and ended on March 26. While officials had earlier indicated a postponement due to delays in government formation, the results will now be announced as scheduled.
Candidates can access their results at www.tnresults.nic.in, www.dge.tn.gov.in, or results.digilocker.gov.in. School students can also obtain their results from their respective schools. The department stated that results will be sent via SMS to the mobile numbers furnished in undertaking forms submitted by school students and to numbers provided by private candidates during online application. In a first, the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency has created an avenue to view results through WhatsApp. Candidates should send a hi to 7845252525, then reply with their department name and class. Thereafter, by entering and sending their registration number and date of birth in the reply, they may obtain their examination results.
