Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, Tragedy has once again struck the family of slain gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed. His son, Abaan Ahmed, was tragically killed on Thursday in a road accident in Jhansi while en route to meet his elder brother, Ali Ahmed, who is currently lodged in the Jhansi district jail.
Police reports indicate that the fatal accident occurred in the Poonch police station area. Abaan was traveling in a a speeding car which reportedly lost control and veered into a road divider. The force of the collision was devastating, leaving the front portion of the vehicle completely mangled.
Local residents and emergency personnel swiftly responded to the scene, working to rescue the occupants trapped within the wreckage. Abaan Ahmed, along with two other individuals from the car, was rushed to a nearby hospital. Tragically, doctors pronounced Abaan dead upon arrival. The condition of the two injured persons remains unknown at this time as they undergo treatment.
This latest incident adds another somber chapter to the family's recent history. Abaan's father, Atiq Ahmed, along with his brother Ashraf Ahmed, was infamously shot dead at point-blank range by assailants in Prayagraj in April 2023, while being escorted by police for a medical examination. The family continues to be embroiled in various criminal cases and public scrutiny.
