The tremors were felt for a few seconds around 9.04 p.m. IST, with residents in high-rise buildings and office spaces reporting the ground swaying. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, according to authorities. The India Meteorological Department said the quake occurred at a depth of 27 km and provided coordinates at 20.42° N latitude and 93.88° E longitude, placing the epicenter in Myanmar. Officials added they are continuing to monitor for any aftershocks and are assessing the situation in coordination with local agencies.
