Siddaramaiah Vows Full Five-Year Term, Rejects Power-Share Talk
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah insists he will complete a full five-year term, rejects power-sharing rumors, and says the party high command backs him amid leadership speculation.
In Belagavi on the last day of the Legislative Assembly session, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah asserted he would complete a full five-year term and dismissed questions about any power-sharing arrangement. He told lawmakers that the party high command remains in his corner and that he is the chief minister now and will continue in that role in the future. He noted that he had already completed five years in his first term and returned as CM in 2023, and he has now completed two-and-a-half years of the current term. He added that he would stay on as CM as long as the high command decides, and that the high command is in his favor.
