Indians evacuated from Iran as unrest intensifies, govt lauded
As Iran's protests intensify, thousands of Indians are evacuated with Delhi Airport preparing to receive them; authorities pledge safety and ongoing support.

Back home, the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that around 9,000 Indians live in Iran and issued advisories urging them to depart while travel plans remain in flux. The MEA said it will do whatever is necessary for the well-being of Indian nationals and will assist those who wish to return. Officials noted that the focus remains on students and others most at risk, with continued monitoring of developments and coordination with the Indian Embassy in Tehran.
