Introduction to Astrology

My life has always been simple and even—no major ups and downs. Yet, as a younger me, I found myself constantly questioning my future—about education, career, marriage, settling abroad, and almost everything else. While most of us enjoy some good things in life, we also face our share of challenges.

During my school days, my curiosity knew no bounds. I read countless books, trying to find answers about my future. This thirst for knowledge led me to astrology at the age of 19. Since then, I’ve realized that astrology is a never-ending learning process, and the more I study, the deeper my understanding grows.

Astrology & the Corporate World

As a professional in a senior corporate role, astrology isn’t something people openly discuss. Yet, I’ve observed that almost everyone—regardless of their background—has some connection to it. Whether through faith in God, performing rituals, or seeking guidance from astrologers and priests, people turn to astrology when looking for direction in life.

When viewed practically, there is no harm in believing in astro-science. It is deeply rooted in the Vedas and scriptures, which, in many ways, are more scientific than modern science. Even Ravana, one of the most learned scholars of ancient times, was a great astrologer. As a wise person once told me, if you can dream of something—whether divine, demonic, or technological—it exists somewhere on this Earth.

The ability to predict the future is defined in our Shastras. However, the accuracy of a prediction depends entirely on the skill and knowledge of the astrologer. Many people lose faith in astrology not because the science is flawed, but because of the incompetence of the astrologer—just as even the best scientists can sometimes fail.

Understanding Planetary Influences

Through my years of research, I’ve observed consistent patterns in astrological charts. However, a single planetary placement does not determine a person’s fate. If that were the case, astrology would become “horror-scope” rather than horoscope!

General predictions based on just one planet’s position are misleading. A planet—no matter how malefic in a particular house—cannot act alone. Its effects depend on its interaction with other planetary energies. This is a BIG statement.

Before trusting generic astrology predictions from books or social media, one must be cautious. Every horoscope is unique. Beyond the birth chart, physical appearance, palm lines, the home one lives in, and even past residences all reflect planetary influences.

To verify whether a horoscope is accurate (especially when birth details may be incorrect), an astrologer must assess:

✔ Family background

✔ Neighboring influences

✔ Type of house and past residences

✔ Career and life events

The list of astrological indicators is extensive. True astrology is about precision, depth, and interpretation—not just surface-level predictions.
