It is absolutely unacceptable that 51 anganwadis in our district are still operating without mandatory fitness certificates months into the academic year, especially with 32 in the Palluruthy region alone! Bureaucrats blame the non-availability of assistant engineers due to transfers, but this is a pathetic excuse when children's lives are at stake. Just recently, a cobra was found inside an almirah at a local anganwadi surrounded by paddy fields because a simple window pane was missing. How can we send our kids to these unsafe environments? Furthermore, expecting urban centers to find safe rented buildings on the same miserable uniform rent fixed for rural areas is practically impossible. We need urgent infrastructure upgrades, proper maintenance of surroundings to clear thickets, and immediate safety inspections before a tragedy strikes. #education #politics #safety
