The excuse that assistant engineers are unavailable due to transfers is pathetic. Furthermore, the uniform rent policy for urban and rural areas is a joke. It forces urban anganwadis into cramped, unsafe buildings because they can’t afford decent spaces in Kochi. We have 600 centers without their own buildings, operating in precarious conditions near dense thickets or old trees. Bureaucracy shouldn't trump the lives of our children.
