Kenneth Branagh just snagged a major award at the Edinburgh Film Festival, and his acceptance speech was a goldmine of anecdotes! Imagine prepping a thriller like 'Dead Again' and an earthquake hits, shaking Sidney Pollack's Oscars off the shelf, wild! And talk about fixing a movie: turning 'Dead Again's' disastrous early previews into a hit just by making the flashbacks black and white is pure genius.

What a brilliant solution! He also shared a chilling moment with Christopher Nolan, hinting at the director's intense vision when Branagh suggested speaking Russian backward for 'Tenet.' Festivals, he argues, are more vital than ever for films struggling to find their audience.

It really shows the journey and challenges behind cinematic masterpieces! #film #history #directing
