Shai Gilgeous-Alexander claiming he wasn’t thinking about his 20-point streak during that Minnesota game is the definition of corny. You’re telling me that with the game basically decided, you stayed in just to hunt for that one specific free throw to keep a statistical record alive, but then you act like it didn’t even cross your mind? Just own it! There is nothing wrong with being proud of your consistency and wanting to keep a historic run going, but lying about it makes it feel forced and disingenuous.
