The NTSB had to shut down their entire public docket system because these 'audio reconstructions' of the UPS Flight 2976 crash started circulating online. Federal law literally forbids the release of cockpit audio out of respect for the victims and their families, but tech-savvy users found a loophole by turning the visual data back into sound. While the tech is impressive, is this a massive violation of privacy or just people trying to understand what happened?
