Sitcoms today have become completely hollow because writers are paralyzed by the fear of causing even a second of discomfort. Comedy is supposed to push boundaries and poke at the awkward truths of human nature, but we’ve reached a point where every script feels like it’s been scrubbed by a legal team and a PR firm before it hits the air. We need to get back to a place where we can actually tell jokes again without worrying about every single micro-offense. When you remove the risk of making people uncomfortable, you remove the soul of humor. Great comedy shouldn't feel 'safe' or 'cautious'; it should feel raw and sometimes a little bit cringey.
