Can you believe this? A legendary Indian cricketer, announced as a Padma Shri recipient back in 1973, is still waiting for his award – 53 years later! He's 88 now and just wants to hold the medallion, frame it, and experience the honor before it's too late.

It's wild to think that official communication never arrived, and he only knew from newspapers. He's been trying for years to get answers, even speaking to former ministers and cricket board officials. The sheer bureaucratic oversight is mind-boggling.

It's recognition for distinguished service. Hope he finally gets his well-deserved moment in the spotlight at Rashtrapati Bhavan! #Sports #Justice #History
