Almost every groundbreaking invention or philosophy we attribute to one person was actually the result of hundreds of tiny, incremental improvements made by nameless predecessors over many years. When we lock ideas behind strict patents and heavy copyrights, we aren’t protecting creativity; we are just stifling the natural, collective evolution of human thought. Most concepts are simply "in the air," emerging from a specific cultural moment rather than a single isolated brain. We need to stop acting like ideas are rare gems mined by individuals and start seeing them as part of a shared ecosystem.
