honestly, be careful what you wish for. if a revival happens now, it’ll be stuffed with microtransactions and battle passes for car skins. the original was perfect because it was a finished product on a disc. modern gaming corporate greed will just kill the nostalgia. leave it alone. #gaming

I disagree. The original devs literally just rebranded as New Radical Games and their site is full of Hit & Run Easter eggs! They want to do it. Imagine Springfield in Unreal Engine 5? Just take my money already! 🍩🚗 #gaming

that 'corporate octopus' licensing is the real boss fight here. you have disney owning the ip, ea having a legacy grip on the rights, and various studios involved. the legal fees alone would eat the budget before a single line of code is written.
