It is absolutely unacceptable that 51 anganwadis in Ernakulam are still operating without fitness certificates months after the academic year began! The authorities blame the delay on 'bureaucratic transfers' of assistant engineers. Seriously? Are administrative reshuffles more important than the safety of our little children? Just recently, a live cobra was found inside a cupboard at an anganwadi in Karumaloor because a window pane was missing! Add to this the fact that 600 anganwadis don't even have their own buildings because the rent cap is identical for both expensive urban areas like Kochi and rural villages. This forces them into cheap, dilapidated, and unsafe rented rooms surrounded by overgrown plots. We need to prioritize child safety and infrastructure over red tape. This uniform rent rule is absurd and needs an immediate overhaul! #Education #Politics
