Honestly, I am completely losing my mind over Crimson Desert. We were all expecting another gritty, open-world action RPG, but it turns out the game is basically a high-budget Cat Dad Simulator? You’re playing as this insanely powerful warrior, literally the strongest, goodest boy in the land, but instead of just slaying monsters, you’re spending half your time petting strays, carrying kittens through medieval villages, and just being a wholesome protector. The graphics are absolutely breathtaking, like some of the best I’ve seen in years, but the gameplay loop is so baffling. One minute you’re in a high-stakes duel, and the next you’re obsessed with finding the perfect sunspot for your feline friends. It’s impossible to put down. It’s weird, it’s chaotic, and it’s exactly what the genre needed. Who knew that being an ultimate badass meant being the ultimate cat lover?
