Can you believe the blueprint for our current AI interactions, where we pour our hearts out to ChatGPT, was actually set in motion by a super basic chatbot back in the 1960s? An MIT professor, Joseph Weizenbaum, created ELIZA, and even then, people were forming surprisingly deep connections, sharing personal stuff with it. It just echoed their own words back to them, yet it worked! It really makes you think about human psychology and our innate need to confide, even in something that's clearly not human. It's fascinating how those early conversations predicted our modern-day AI relationships. We haven't changed much, have we?
