People see a few videos of a car hitting a bollard or a gate and freak out, but the data shows these incidents represent less than one percent of millions of sessions. Most of these crashes are low-speed bumps with zero injuries or major damage. We can't expect perfection from day one when humans cause way more chaos in parking lots every single day. Tesla is already pushing software updates to improve camera visibility and obstacle detection. If we shut down every innovation because of minor property damage, we will never reach a future with zero traffic fatalities.
