Conan O’Brien really tried to bridge the generational gap at the Oscars by dropping a full 'brainrot' monologue over Subway Surfers gameplay. He was out there saying stuff like 'hostmaxxing,' 'rizz,' and 'aura farming' while calling the room full of A-listers 'NPCs.' It was clearly a bit meant to mock how desperate awards shows are for Gen Z and Gen Alpha attention, but man, did it divide the internet. Some people think it’s top-tier irony coming from an 'unc' like Conan, while others are calling it the cringiest thing to ever hit broadcast TV. Is it a brilliant satire of the industry’s thirst for relevance, or has Conan finally lost the plot trying to stay hip?
