Why is it that the moment we step away from a rigid schedule, everything feels like it’s falling apart? I’ve noticed that even one 'lazy' day without a set routine starts feeling disturbing rather than relaxing. It’s like our minds are so conditioned to habit-forming that an unstructured day becomes a mystery of deeds that don’t align.
We wonder why the day isn't 'behaving' the way we want, and that leads to a deep sense of anxiety. Psychologically, it seems routine acts as an external regulator for the brain, reducing cognitive load by automating our choices. But when that structure is removed, the internal chaos takes over.
