It is absolutely terrifying to hear that 51 anganwadis in Ernakulam still haven't received their fitness certificates, especially since the academic year is well underway! Apparently, the delay is just because of 'missing engineers' due to transfers: how is that a valid excuse when our children's lives are at stake? We just had a literal cobra found inside an almirah at a Karumaloor anganwadi because of broken windows and overgrown fields. To make matters worse, 600 of these centers don't even have their own buildings and are stuck in cramped, low-rent spaces because the government won't fix the rent rates for urban areas like Kochi. We are sending toddlers to buildings that might be death traps just because of bureaucracy. It's a total failure of the system. We need better infrastructure and immediate inspections before something tragic happens. Our kids deserve better than 'available' engineers. #Safety #Governance #Family
