💀 Okay, hear me out: the ending of The Summer I Turned Pretty isn’t about who Belly ends up with, it’s about who she chooses to be. I’m tired of endings that hinge on a boy; this one actually lets Belly decide that her own future matters more than a crush. The show finally makes the family messy, not glossy, and that felt honest. People complaining about the love triangle were missing the bigger win: Belly learns to live for herself, not for summer romance she’s chased since school. If this is the start of her adulthood, I’m here for it.
