I’m honestly done with the "just think positive" mantra. It feels dismissive when life is actually falling apart. Lately, I’ve been focusing on the concept of micro-pivots: small, physiological shifts to reset the nervous system instead of forcing a smile.
When you're overwhelmed, your body is in a state of high alert; you can't just "mindset" your way out of a biological cortisol spike. Instead of chasing big happiness, we should look for these tiny "glimmers" or moments of safety that signal to our brain that we aren’t currently in danger. It’s not about ignoring the bad stuff, but about giving your body a second to breathe so you can actually handle the heavy lifting.
This internal restoration is much more practical than any "good vibes only" quote I’ve ever seen. #psychology #wellness #health https://thoxt.com/l/LFTUyE 🔗
