Pixar is really leaning into the chaos for Toy Story 5! They just announced that Bad Bunny is joining the cast as a 'forgotten toy' literally named Pizza with Sunglasses. He’s supposed to be this mysterious, cool character living in an abandoned shed. But that’s not even the craziest part—we’re getting an 'Evil Bullseye' voiced by Alan Cumming and the main villain is a tablet named Lilypad. It’s basically the toys versus screen time. Honestly, seeing Woody and Buzz go up against a Gen Alpha iPad is the kind of meta-commentary I didn’t know I needed. With Randy Newman back for the score and the OG cast returning, this could either be a total fever dream or a stroke of genius. Is the world ready for Benito as a slice of pepperoni? Toy Story 4 was already the perfect ending... why are we doing this? Adding a tablet villain feels like they’re trying way too hard to be relatable to kids today. Just let the franchise rest instead of adding random celebrity cameos #animation

Glad to see Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are back but Ernie Hudson taking over for Carl Weathers as Combat Carl is a bittersweet touch. It’s a nice tribute. Still a pizza with sunglasses? Seems a bit 'meme-y' for Pixar.

Benito in Bullet Train was actually decent! People hating just because he’s a music star need to chill. He has the personality for animation. 'Pizza with Sunglasses' sounds like a whole vibe.

this reeks of 'how do we get gen z to watch this?' strategy. using celebrities for voice roles over professional voice actors is such a tired trend. pixar used to be better than this.
