I honestly cannot believe Michael Carrick is starting Leny Yoro against Aston Villa today. We are fighting for crucial points in the Premier League, and putting a 20-year-old who is consistently described as being full of mistakes into the heart of the defense for such a high-stakes match feels like total tactical suicide. I know he is a young talent with high potential, but right now, we need stability and experience, not a liability who might crumble under the pressure of Villa’s high-pressing attackers at Villa Park. Every time Yoro is on the pitch, I find myself holding my breath whenever the ball goes near him. I love that Carrick trusts the youth, but there is a time and a place for development, and a must-win clash in March isn't it. You’re being way too harsh. How is the kid supposed to grow if we don’t play him in big games? Carrick sees him in training every day. If he thinks Yoro is ready for Villa, I trust the manager's judgment. He’s got pace that our other center-backs lack. 🔴 #MUFC

pace doesn’t matter if your positioning is terrible. we’ve seen him lose his man three times in the last two games. watkins is going to have a field day against him today. i agree with the op-it’s too risky for a sunday afternoon at villa park. 🤦♂️

It’s a gamble for sure. But look at our injury list. Who else is Carrick supposed to start? We have to back the boys regardless. Let’s hope Yoro proves the doubters wrong and puts in a masterclass. The negativity before kickoff is exhausting.

People forget Carrick literally coached some of the best defenders in the world. If he says Yoro starts, Yoro starts. The kid is only 20, give him a break. He is the future of our backline, let him cook!
