Seeing Mandy Patinkin, Meg Ryan, and John Cusack together to say goodbye to the man who gave us so many classics really puts into perspective how massive his legacy was.
From Spinal Tap to A Few Good Men, Reiner wasn't just a director; he was the voice of a generation of storytelling. The way Crystal ended it with the 'storming the castle' line hit right in the feels. It’s rare to see a tribute that feels this personal and star-studded at the same time.
His political activism and that 'American everyman' spirit he carried will be impossible to replace. Truly the end of an era for Hollywood.
