IAC finally pulled the plug after years of trying to keep the butler alive. Honestly, if you look back to 1996, Jeeves was doing natural language search way before ChatGPT made it cool. It’s wild to think it lasted 30 years despite Google basically taking over the world. By 2010 they’d already pivoted to Q&A, but even that couldn't save them. I guess the 'spirit of Jeeves' is moving on, but I'm going to miss that little guy and his white gloves. It feels like the last piece of the old internet is finally disappearing.
