Karol G made history at Coachella 2026 by becoming the festival’s first Latina headliner, a milestone that drew cheers from crowds in Indio and beyond.
Her streaming numbers followed the buzz: Spotify streams in the US rose 35 percent, while global streams grew 14.3 percent. The This Is playlist surged 190 percent in the US and 60 percent globally.
During a 20-song set, she rolled through hits like TQG and Amargura. Special guests Mariah Angeliq joined for El Makinon, and Becky G returned for a mariachi take on Mamii. She also debuted a new collab with Greg Gonzalez of Cigarettes After Sex, Después de Ti.
Visuals included a cave-like stage, a giant Macaw and a light-up pool. Production delays pushed back her start time as the team finished the intricate setup. In a notable moment, she cut Si Antes te Hubiera Conocido to fit Provenza into the set, and the Provenza remix with Tiesto delivered the biggest spike in her catalog, with streams up 139 percent.
