Police said at least 15 migrant workers died and more than 30 were injured in the crash around 10:30 pm on April 29.
Among the dead were six women and two children, authorities said, underscoring the human cost of the tragedy. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals, with several reported to be in critical condition. Rescue teams and ambulances swarmed the crash site as traffic on the highway was disrupted for hours while investigators gathered details and secured the area.
